In addition, they sponsor special programs, and advocate for strong library support.
Our Friends know the value of the Chesapeake Public Library System and they have made it their mission to ensure that our libraries will be able to provide the truly "special" programs to our residents. The Friends give an amazing $30,000+ each year in support of special programs at Chesapeake Public Library. Their financial backing has helped us expand and enhance the Summer Reading Program, now serving more than 10,000 children, teens, and adults.
The Friends are always looking for new members to help with book sales and other projects. For more information on the Friends, please see our Friends of the Library page.
