Looking for work experience or something meaningful to do? Interested in giving back to your community? If so, the Library needs you. Volunteers play a vital role at the Chesapeake Public Library. Donate your time, talent and skills, to support and enhance the Library’s programs, services and mission. The Library offers many opportunities for volunteer service:
- Helping people with computers
- Shelving books
- Presenting a program
- Other special projects
You may also help the Library by becoming a member of or volunteering with the Friends of the Chesapeake Public Library, serving on the Chesapeake Public Library Board, or supporting the Chesapeake Public Library Foundation. If you are interested in volunteering at the Library, we are looking for individuals age 12 and above that are willing to help on a one time basis or to make a regular commitment to any of the available opportunities. Submitting a volunteer application does not guarantee a volunteer position.
Youths (ages 12 to 17) – You may download a volunteer application here. Complete the volunteer application and fax, mail, email or hand deliver to your local area library volunteer coordinator.
Please note: We are no longer accepting applications for Summer volunteers for this year.
